Richard Stronkman

Guest researcher at the Web Information Systems group of the Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS/EWI), Delft University of Technology.

After his master graduation at the WIS group, Richard founded the company PublicSonar. PublicSonar is a spin-out from TU Delft and TNO and has a long term partnership with both research institutes. PublicSonar helps clients in the public sector to obtain real-time intelligence, and detect and track risks and incidents. The PublicSonar monitoring platform is deployed at operational departments, and the end-users are trained to obtain real-time insights by applying the smart filtering technology. PublicSonar helps operational teams around the world and is currently active in Europe, Asia, USA and Canada. By closely working together with its clients and partners, PublicSonar has managed to grow year after year and build solutions that have lasting meaningful impact.

In his spare time, Richard gives lectures on entrepreneurship and he mentors technology startups through accelerator programs. Previously, Richard founded the company Greetinq, which was acquired in 2012, and he contributed to a number of scientific publications.
